 May 27

1 Peter 5:2-3 NIV

"Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock."

Being a Christian, being kind, being generous, is not for a title. It’s not to be better than other people or to place ourselves on a pedestal. God doesn't say "rule over everyone else and look down on them", he says to be kind and love everyone so that they may love themselves. Set an example today by doing something selfless, something without reward.
