Galatians 6:9

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

God encourages us to be good to other people without asking for something in return. He asks us to raise people up and not expect them to raise us up in return. However, we eventually do gain a beautiful, rewarding life from doing good. And the bible says this right here in Galatians - “for at the proper time we will reap a harvest”. Let us not complain about the wait and be patient. God always sees our intentions when we do a good deed. Are we giving help just to seek the reward, or are we in the belief that the person we are helping can have a good life and that we are all deserving of such? God gives us the reward of a good life when the time is right. When the time is right, things will resolve.

When your loved one needs help, help them, even if it is at your expense. For if we do this often, it will no longer be an expense, but instead, we will make the most of it.
