Proverbs Month - looking at the book of Proverbs all through June.

Proverbs 27:12 NIV

"The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty."

When we see danger such as an avalanche, do we run away or do we stand and get blown over by rubble? You would think the answer is obvious, but the dangers that come up in everyday life aren't always so clear. We know some consequences based on our actions and effects in the past, and there are still some consequences that were not aware of until they happen. But if we choose to repeat actions from our past that have clear repercussions, are we wanting the worst for ourselves or are we so broken down that we cannot refuse? Always take the more difficult path, the consequences of the difficult road may not be as bad if we have honesty and integrity.
